The Street Tree

On her way to work, Pia passes a small tree in a square. In spring, it has pink flowers. In summer, it gives cool shade.

One morning, she sees a city worker water the tree. She says, 'Thank you.' The worker nods and smiles.

Pia takes a photo of the flowers and sends it to her mother. The little tree makes the busy street feel kind.
