The Late Bus

Tom goes to the bus stop at eight o'clock. He needs to be at work at nine. He waits and watches the road. Cars pass, but the bus does not come.

He looks at his phone. The time is eight fifteen. He feels a little worried. A lady at the stop says, 'The bus is late today.' Tom nods and takes a deep breath.

At eight twenty, the bus finally arrives. People get on fast. Tom stands near the door and holds the rail. The bus moves slowly because of traffic.

He sends a message to his boss, 'I am on the way. The bus is late.' The boss replies, 'It is okay.' Tom relaxes and smiles.
