Yan plans to meet Mei at the office after work, because the message board shows new times. They change the meeting place once, after both want to keep the plan simple. On the way, Yan reviews a short list and breathes slowly.
At the office, the queue moves very slowly. People look around and ask questions. Yan suggests moving near a sign before the announcements are easier to hear. Mei arrives with two bottles of water, and they decide to wait for five minutes.
They talk about visiting a small cafe in the afternoon. "If the line is still slow, we can go later," Mei says. "Good idea. We do not need to rush," Yan answers. They watch the crowd and listen for updates.
After a short time, they choose a different stop and continue. The queue begins to move, and people relax. Yan and Mei continue with a clearer plan: one stop, then coffee, then home. The delay becomes a small lesson about time and patience.
