Maya plans to meet Paul at the subway on Sunday, before the message board shows new times. They change the meeting place once, after both want to keep the plan simple. On the way, Maya reviews a short list and breathes slowly.
At the subway, the card machine stops for a minute. People look around and ask questions. Maya suggests moving near a sign although the announcements are easier to hear. Paul arrives with two bottles of water, and they decide to wait for five minutes.
They talk about visiting a small cafe before work. "If the line is still slow, we can go later," Paul says. "Good idea. We do not need to rush," Maya answers. They watch the crowd and listen for updates.
After a short time, they decide to wait and talk calmly. The queue begins to move, and people relax. Maya and Paul continue with a clearer plan: one stop, then coffee, then home. The delay becomes a small lesson about time and patience.
